They DON’T!
Yes, I understand that your mother is the most important person in your life, and she wants the best for you, and she looked like she knew everything when you were 2 years old, but science has proven it wrong.
What I’m saying is exactly THIS:
Cats DO NOT cause infertility in women.
In other words, saying that females who have cats cannot have babies IS ridiculously similar to saying: Women who use credit cards cannot have babies. Does that make any sense to you? Not to me. Trust me it’s exactly the same with cats.
CATS : INFERTILITY are NOT related. If you are infertile, please go to a doctor and do some tests and find out why. It’s not your cat’(s) fault so be a man – or a woman – and go see a doctor asap.
The only caution you need to exercise with cats is ONLY WHEN you get pregnant (or your wife gets pregnant in case you’re a guy and reading this), to wear disposable mouth covers and gloves when cleaning the cat litter box, or better stay away from it altogether during your pregnancy. If you are a mother: Please stop asking your son, daughter, son-in-law or daughter-in-law to get rid of their cats
If you are a husband: Please stop asking your wife to get rid of the cat, or if your wife is insisting on getting rid of the cat(s) please explain what you just read above
If you are a wife: Please stop being paranoid, and tell that sweet husband of yours to clean the litter box.
