Is IVH’s spamming marketing strategy ok?

admin June 26, 2012 1

I noticed lately that IVH is trying to direct animal lovers (aka potential clients) to their new facebook page. However what is strange is that IVH is inviting people to join their new facebook page on posts published in different facebook animal related groups, such as shelters, dogs lovers, cat lovers, independent animal activists groups and so on…

I am finding it annoying that IVH is choosing to spam people’s -sometime very important- posts, such as about a dog or a cat that needs to be rescued and is adding their tasteless comment about joining their new facebook page on something totally irrelevant. And when they choose to post their comment they add it on at least 5 – 10 most recent posts, so if you visit that group or page you will find it attacked by IVH that it really becomes annoying.

It could be just me but considering that IVH is not a non-profit organization, but in fact a very expensive hospital I think it would be really much more appropriate if they allocate a budget and advertise online on facebook if they really want to reach people rather than using cheap -what cheap?! free- methods to publicize their news updates.

Please IVH if you are seeing this, please stop spamming walls and posts. We got it, we really got it you have a new facebook page. But please find more professional ways to tell people so.

Thank you

And stop "poking" people! I agree, we all get the message, no need to post it all over every page!
