Sorry about my title, I got shocked knowing that some dog and cat food manufacturers actually use euthanized cats and dogs meat as source of protein in pet food, or animals dead in zoos and much more disgusting stuff. Not that I feed my dog commercial dog food, but it hit me that certain foods on the supermarket shelves are available and bought by some people for consumption by their beloved cats and dogs at home :(.
I wrote before about why feeding your cat commercial food is not a good idea, and now this is a better reason for you if that didn’t convince you yet.
How do you know if a food brand has cats and dogs meat in it? You don’t. But you know which food brands don’t have them. How?
Just make sure you check the meat ingredients of the food and as soon as you read ‘meat’ or ‘poultry’ (with no specific animal name) then please stay away! You also need to avoid any food that mentions ‘by product’. Seriously what the hell is a by-product?
All the well reputed dog and cat food brands clearly mention what meat they are using, so open your eyes and be a responsible cat and dog owner, and do not feed them dead cats and dogs. That’s not only disgusting but dangerous too!
Would you feed your cat or dog food that contains chemicals that killed other cats and dogs?
The video mentions clearly that there is no law against using dead cats and dogs in pet food, and also says if the source of the meat is not specified on the label, then there is no way to know where it’s coming from, it could be cattle, or sheep or horse, OR FLUFFY!!! yup that’s what he says at the last 4-5 seconds of the video.

لقد صدمت عندما علمت أن بعض مصنعي المواد الغذائية للكلاب والقطط تقوم باستخدام لحوم القطط والكلاب الميتة كمصدر للبروتين في طعامهم، كما أن بعضهم يستخدم الحيوانات النافقة في حدائق الحيوانات وأشياء اخرى مثيرة للاشمئزاز . والكثير من هذه الأطعمة موجودة على رفوف المحلات والتي يشتريها بعض الناس ليتم استهلاكها من قبل القطط والكلاب في المنزل : (.
كيف يمكنك معرفة ما إذا كانت نوعية معينة من أطعمة القطط والكلاب تحتوي على حيوانات ميتة فيها؟ كلا لا يمكنك معرفة ذلك. ولكن يمكنك أن تعرف أية أنواع لا تحتوي على هذه المكونات المثيرة للاشمئزاز؟ كيف؟
فقط تحقق من مكونات اللحوم واستثن من قائمة شرائك أية أنواع تحوي على مكونات غير معروفة المصدر، وإنما تذكر فقط كلمة ‘لحم’ أو ‘دواجن’ (مع عدم وجود اسم حيوان معين)! إضافة إلى ذلك فيجب عليك تجنب أي نوع من منتج ثانوي.
حسناً، إنها حتماً مسؤوليتك إيجاد طعام ذو جودة عالية ولذلك ابحث عن أسماء الحيوانات التي يتم استخدام لحمها.
